Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other theatrical performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. In 2000, she relocated back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. The singer currently sings traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
